Compiz Fusion is the "cool desktop effects" most notably the Cube that most of you have seen in a screenshot or videos all over the Internet. Fedora comes with a version called Desktop Effects, simply compiz, however is does not have all the features of compiz-fusion. You can take a look at it under System -> Preferences -> Look and Feel -> Desktop Effects. Now if you want to use all the effects, plugins, etc . . . this is the post for you to follow.
